The new year arrived, and we all made some resolutions to fulfill this new year.

Some will be easy and simple, but surely some will need more time, dedication and above all a lot of willpower.

That is why these tips will help you achieve those goals and not decline.

Build a plan

Before starting, remember not to saturate yourself there will be obstacles in the way that may stop you from fulfilling all your purposes at the same time, therefore, it is important to plan your short and long-term objectives.

If your purposes include exercising, losing weight, quitting smoking, or drinking or eliminating any other bad habit, putting everything into realistic planning and selecting the routines to follow will make it easier for you to remove obstacles and replace them with healthier activities.

Creating a plan will also allow you to manage your times to reach the desired goal or subtopics, which will gradually lead you to your final goal.

Compare, measure your progress

Many times, with the passage of time we put aside those actions and positive attitudes that made us reach our goal.

But why does this happen? On many occasions this happens because we do not keep track of our progress.

That is why it is very important to keep a record that measures our progress.

Once you notice that if there has been progress, no matter how minimal, you will be motivated to continue or put more effort into it and it is possible for a longer time to what you are doing.

Give yourself a prize

If in your planning you put some subtopics and came to it, or simply by comparing notes that there are changes, no matter how minimal, it is time to give yourself a gift.

We all deserve a reward, and if you are conscious that you have given your all to obtain a first result, there is nothing wrong with complimenting you, applauding, showing off or giving you a gift.

Remember that your gift should not interrupt, or be an obstacle to your goal, much less something to make you feel bad, it is only a reward for your performance.

Let it be a pleasure and not a punishment

It is very important to be aware that setting a goal or in this case fulfilling our purposes, should not mean an obligation.

That is, any purpose you want to fulfill must be with the full disposition that you are doing it for your own pleasure and because you really want to.

If your goal is a punishment, for something that others say or for following a trend surely, it will be something much more difficult to do and above all to achieve, which will hinder the results.

Set new goals

Remember that, if since 1995 or any other year ago you continue trying to fulfill the same purpose, it will be very difficult for this new year, now if you manage to fulfill it, if in previous years you did not do it, it is simply because there was not much will.

For this reason, we suggest you change your purposes, ground them to something simpler or update them and not live in the past.

Likewise, we recommend setting tangible goals for yourself, that you are aware that if you insist you will achieve it.
